Sterling Silver Mermaid Ear Wrap, Magical Fantasy Jewelry

An exquisite mermaid wraps around your ear in this intriguing piece of fantasy jewelry. Waves curve and splash around the ear lobe, the mermaids tail acts as a cuff while the mermaid swoops down from above to whisper secrets that only she knows into your ear. No piercing is necessary to wear this fantastic wrap.

I started by creating a detailed pencil drawing to refine my idea and layout the proportion of the piece. The next step was to sculpt everything in wax, this was a very time and labor intensive process; including applying one scale at a time on the mermaid. While great attention was given to such details, I also took great care to ensure the musculature was accurate and the overall design pleasing. When sculpting was complete it was cast using the lost wax method in sterling silver. A patina was applied to give some areas a darker finish than others, providing for contrast and interest. This was followed by hand polishing and an application of Renaissance Wax to protect the finish and guard against tarnish.

The ear wrap is 1 1/2 inches wide by 2 1/2 inches tall, no piercing is needed, the ear wrap is designed to be worn on the left ear only.

I have tried for years to find an ear cuff I liked well enough to wear. Comfort was also a huge issue. I am a tall woman so I wear my jewelry.... it doesn’t wear me.... but some ear cuffs are more torture devices than jewelry. This lovely cuff sits comfortably on the ear & is easily forgotten until you glance in a mirror. It is magic! I am delighted! Think I have purchased somewhere around 15 pieces from your gallery of wonderful jewelry delights. I love them all! The Dragon Trio is my favorite! Keep creating❤️

It's absolutely beautiful, love wearing it. My stars sign is Aquarius and I got sick of old Neptune with a beard, so I started looking for a Mermaid, I am very pleased with this one.
