Scrollwork Earrings in Sterling Silver with Gemstone Accent

These magical earrings look amazing by themselves or when paired with any of the Frolicking Faerie collection including the Faeries Spirit, Clarity, Brave, Joy and Bliss as well as the Tranquil Mermaid. Delicate scrollwork is accented with a 6mm cabochon giving them a romantic, Renaissance feel. 
 
The sterling silver earrings are 1 5/8 inches long and 1/2 inch wide, they have a post back and are very comfortable to wear. The stones pictured are a Black Star Diopside and Rainbow Moonstone, although other stones are available. Black Diopside is a stone that is grounding and healing, it aids in connecting with the faerie realm and nature spirits. 
 
As with all of my work this piece of fantasy jewelry was created using the lost wax method. I first start by doing a detailed drawing. Then I sculpt my design in wax. I start with overall shape and form, adding scrollwork and setting. After the wax sculpture is complete it is cast in sterling silver, excess metal is removed, rough polished, linked together, soldered, patina applied, stones set, then completed by a final polish. It is a time consuming process, but one that I thoroughly enjoy.
